This multi-national beverage brand is a market leader with a long history of successful launches; more than 100 products have been brought to market through a well-established process and strong internal infrastructure. Their formula has worked, but the question remained: could it work even better?

The real challenge was how could they get more out of their trusted playbook. We proposed a controlled test across the Canadian market to explore a different approach. The brand agreed, open to the possibility that a new path could deliver stronger results.

What followed challenged assumptions and validated the value of experimentation.

The Challenge

To drive awareness and encourage trial on a successful brand launch, requires that displays are executed according to brand standards, and have clear communication and pricing. This is especially true in an impulse category; you only get one shot to make a new product successful and while this global beverage client is best in class on execution, it didn’t have a clear view of the quality of the displays or the value that they were getting from them.
